A bright red male cardinal is perched in a blossoming apple tree, not far from his mate. Cardinals pay daily visits to our bird feeders, and are always welcome visitors. I often see a male cardinal at the feeder just as the sun goes down in the evening. It's a nice and peaceful time, and they seem to enjoy the solitude.

My name is Kathryn Duncan. I am an artist and painter, and find my inspiration in nature's beauty, colors, and backyard wildlife, especially birds. During the past several years, my artwork has focused on watercolor painting, and I've developed a passion for this medium. My work explores these subjects during ordinary, yet extraordinary moments.
