This is an original watercolor painting of Baltimore Oriole birds, a male and female, perched in a late summer garden apple tree. This painting has an impressionistic autumn colored background, and realistic birds, apples, branches, and leaves in the foreground. Orioles visit us every year, and I'm very happy to have finally painted these gorgeous Midwestern summer birds.
My name is Kathryn Duncan. I am an artist and painter, and find my inspiration in nature's beauty, colors, and backyard wildlife, especially birds. During the past several years, my artwork has focused on watercolor painting, and I've developed a passion for this medium. My work explores these subjects during ordinary, yet extraordinary moments.
